MS Dhoni has scored 164 runs from 10 games in this IPL season, which has been a forgetful one for him so far. In the process, he has batted at various positions from number four to number seven. However, in none of the batting positions as the CSK skipper been able to play an impactful knock so far.
With four games to go for CSK in the league stage, it will be interesting to see where Dhoni bats. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer, Ajit Agarkar has an advice for the CSK skipper ahead of their game against Mumbai Indians.
MS Dhoni Should Not Bat Below 5- Ajit Agarkar
Talking to Star Sports, Agarkar said that MS Dhoni should not look to bat below number five in the batting order for CSK. The 39-year-old has looked completely out of socks so far with the bat in hand and will hope to hit the strides to lift up Chennai’s confidence.
“In my opinion, MS Dhoni shouldn’t be batting lower than No.5. It will obviously depend on what the situation is, but the lowest he should go is No.5,” Agarkar said on Star Sports.

He further said that Dhoni has one of the best brains in the game and he well-reader of the situation as well. However, he added that whatever the situation, Dhoni should not look to bat below five.
“He is arguably one of the greatest cricketing brains to ever play the game. He can see things and assess situations which other players can’t and you can see, as the tournament progress, his form is getting better as well. So, he shouldn’t be batting lower than No.5 for me,” Agarkar further said.
Meanwhile, Dwayne Bravo is the latest player to be ruled out of IPL 2020. However, the CSK management decided not to name a replacement for their overseas superstar. CSK has lost seven of their 10 games and in the process has some very average cricket. They have also lost some games that they should have won.
