DC in a Bit of Concern-Kagiso Rabada

Kagiso Rabada admitted that the loss was a bit of concern after the kind of start they had to the tournament.

“When you lose it is a bit of a concern. We started the tournament really well and set us up really nicely. We need to win one more game. We are looking to win at least two of the three remaining games but we need one more win to get into qualifying” said Rabada.

He felt that they let the game slip away after their good start against KKR. They had limited KKR to 44 for 3 in the first seven overs. However, a 115-run stand between Nitish Rana and Sunil Narine took the game away from them. Nitish Rana made 81 off 53 while Sunil Narine smashed 64 off 32 as KKR scored 150 runs in their last 12 overs. Thereon, they were not able to come back into the game.

“After the good start we had, we let it slip away a little bit. It can happen to anyone. It just wasn’t our day. We weren’t complacent. The teams here are of real quality and you can’t take your foot off the gas. These things happen. We’ve played enough cricket to know where we have gone wrong.” said the leading wicket-taker of the season so far.

Delhi capitals have three more games to go in the league stage. Two out of their three games are against Mumbai Indians (October 31) and RCB (November 02). They play SRH before these two games on Tuesday (October 27).
