The Chennai Super Kings are all set to take on the Delhi Capitals in the 7th Match for this year’s Indian Premier League. Delhi Capitals side led by Shreyas Iyer is coming into this game after winning a nail-biting thriller Super over against Kings XI Punjab.

On the other hand, MS Dhoni will walk into this game after facing heavy criticism from former cricketers like Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir for his captaincy during the match against Rajasthan.

The head to head record of both sides shows that the Super Kings have a clear edge over the Capitals side with CSK winning 15 of the 21 encounters between them. But let’s not get into too many details of the past as Delhi Capitals is a completely different side since last year which is why we should always expect something special from the young guns of Delhi.

As far as both sides are concerned, both teams have a set of power-packed players in form of Rishabh Pant, Ambati Rayudu, Deepak Chahar. Which is why today we will talk about five such key players who we all should watch out for in the battle between the two sides.

Let’s take a look at the 5 key players to watch out from the CSK vs DC game:

1. Sam CurranĀ

The all-rounder from England has been growing sensation since a couple of years. After representing the Kings XI Punjab franchise last year, He was bought by the Chennai Super Kings franchise this season. He played an important role for his side in the opening encounter vs Mumbai Indians bowling those overs upfront in addition to him scoring a quickfire 18 to help CSK chase down the target set by Mumbai.

Furthermore, he was seen batting up the order even in the match against Rajasthan Royals but couldn’t really get off to a flying mark.

As Dhoni had entrusted Sam Curran in the previous game by sending the latter ahead of himself. We might just see it happen again and again this season as Dhoni mentioned the other day that he wants players like Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja to step up in the batting department.
