The IPL 2020 is finally scheduled to begin from September 19, with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on Chennai Super Kings in Abu Dhabi. This brings in great news for cricket fans all across the globe.
Royal Challengers Bangalore under skipper Virat Kohli is setting sights for winning their first title after missing it in 2016. Meanwhile, Kohli in a conversation with RCB’s Bold Diaries shared his thoughts on the upcoming season and also highlighted their preparations.
Most balanced squad after 2016 – Virat Kohli
He said that the 2020 squad is more balanced than the 2016 squad which made it to the finals. He also expects the side to do good things this season. Incidentally, Kohli scored the most runs by a player in single IPL season that year (973) including four centuries.
“It’s an exciting time, as I said, to be honest, that 2016 season which we loved to be a part of, it was such a memorable season. Since then, to be honest, this is the most balanced I have felt about the squad and as a system where we are heading. It’s been very well taken care of and now it’s up to us to execute those things on the field,” Kohli said.
