Punjab Kings (PBKS) batter Shashank Singh posted a photo on social media featuring Chennai Super Kings (CSK) stand-in captain MS Dhoni, who appeared with a bandaged knee. The match between the two sides took place on Wednesday, April 30, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, marking the 49th fixture of the season.
CSK, after being asked to bat first, posted 190 in 19.2 overs. Sam Curran was the highlight, scoring 88 off 47 balls with nine fours and four sixes. On the bowling front, Yuzvendra Chahal stood out, taking his second IPL hat-trick with figures of 4 for 32 in three overs.
In response, PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh contributed a useful 54 off 36 balls, while captain Shreyas Iyer led the chase with a superb 72 off 41 deliveries, which included five fours and four sixes. Punjab Kings chased down the target with two balls remaining, securing a four-wicket victory.

MS Dhoni was seen with a bandaged knee, drawing attention to his ongoing knee issue, which required surgery in 2023. Earlier this season, CSK coach Stephen Fleming explained that Dhoni’s lower batting order is a tactic to manage the injury.
