Cometh the hour, cometh the man as Ben Stokes under pressure delivered for Rajasthan Royals. The quality all-rounder recorded his second century in IPL and produced a batting masterclass against Mumbai Indians.
It wasn’t easy for Stokes as he had been fighting for runs and Royals had to chase down a mammoth total of 196 runs. Stokes very early understood the pace of the wicket and picked his spots for scoring runs.
He was aggressive in the batting powerplay and always kept RR ahead of the asking rate. Once he was fully set he unleashed his wide array of strokes to which MI bowlers had no answers.

Eventually, the day undoubtedly belonged to Stokes who notched up his second IPL century. The Englishman silenced his critics and came roaring back into form. Stokes remained unbeaten 107 runs with 14 boundaries and 3 sixes and led the charge for his side in an outstanding triumph.
His confidence rubbed onto Samson who himself played some eye-catching strokes. The likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult had no answers against the two and it proved to be a memorable run chase by RR.
After he reached the magical three-digit mark he dedicated it to his father with his customary finger celebration. After his heroics, Twitter was buzzing as several experts and former cricketers hailed the spectacular knock of Stokes.

This was a much-needed win for RR as it still keeps them in discussion for the IPL 2020 playoffs. Stokes in the last few years has been at the peak of his powers and has always saved his best for pressure situations.
Today he again justified his tag of being the best all-rounder in the world. After his heroics, Stokes was pleased with his batting effort and said he hopes that it would bring some happiness back to his family.
