After the completion of the England Pakistan T20I series, several players of both teams have made tremendous gains in the T20I rankings. The International Cricket Council (ICC) today revealed the new updated T20I rankings. The standout batsmen in the T20I series were undoubtedly Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez and England’s Tom Banton.

Before the series, the 39-year-old Hafeez had a target on his back as pressure was mounting on his from all quarters. However, Hafeez silenced his critics in style as he not only won the player of the match in the final T20I but also received the player of the series award. As a result after scoring 155 runs in the series, he jumped up from 68th to 44th spot in the ICC T20I rankings.

Whereas the young English opener Tom Banton scored the second-most runs in the series after Hafeez. Banton’s tally of 137 runs including a knock of 71 in the washed-out opening game saw him raise an astounding 152 places to reach 43rd position.
