Speaking of the same, Suresh Raina hailed veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin for his accomplishments and contributions to the MS Dhoni-led side in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
“If you see your powerplay bowling average, it has always been below six, you have always provided us with breakthroughs that’s why MS believed in you,” Raina told Ashwin, news agency ANIÂ reported.Â

Further, Suresh Raina recalled the moments when he used to ask his batsmen to be aware of Ashwin’s bowling and his trademark Carrom balls.
“When you played for Pune and Punjab, I told my team to be careful against you as you had good carrom balls and they always used to trouble the batsmen,” Raina said during the Instagram Live session. Â
The Yellow-brigade has won the IPL title on three occasions in 2010, 2011, and 2018. Chennai’s all three title success in the IPL has come under the leadership of Dhoni. Suresh Raina has always been one of the top contributors with the bat for the team.
