Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni has been sanctioned for a Code of Conduct breach during their IPL 2021 opener against Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Incidentally, Dhoni poor day in business as he failed to score runs before losing the match by seven wickets before more agony piled on him.

MS Dhoni reprimanded for slow over-rate

“Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni has been fined after his team maintained a slow over-rate during their VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 match against Delhi Capitals at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on April 10,” BCCI said in a statement.

As it was his team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Mr Dhoni was fined Rs 12 lakh,” it added.

Speaking of the game, Delhi Capitals bowlers did a good job to restrict Chennai Super Kings below 200 after a Suresh Raina show.
