Babar will play his next T20I in the end of August. Hence, Surya can grab the No.1 spot if he carries his form in the remaining 2 matches of the WI series.
Surya is the only Indian batter currently in the Top 10. He is just 20 innings old and has already scored 5 T20I fifties, 1 century. In 2022 T20Is, Surya has scored 404 runs, averaging 40.4, striking at 190. Fans have started to call Surya the Best T20I batter of the current times.

Suryakumar Yadav played a knock of 76 runs in the third match of the ongoing T20I series against West Indies. His knock helped India defeat West Indies by 7 wickets. Surya won the “Man of the Match” award. India are leading the series 2-1. The fourth T20I is scheduled to be played in Florida, USA, on August 6.
Hardik Pandya in awe of Suryakumar Yadav’s Batting
After the 3rd T20I, Hardik Pandya addressed the media where he praised Suryakumar Yadav’s eye-pleasing strokeplay.
Hardik said: “Surya is someone who is an exceptional player, when he starts playing some shots, you are just in awe. A lot of credit goes to him, he has worked hard. He is getting his due late in his life but god is kind to him and he is getting the maximum.”
Surya made his T20I debut in March 2021, at the age of 30. The years of grind was visible when he smashed a six on the first delivery. The bowler was Jofra Archer !!
