India was struggling after the top order was dismantled by Sri Lankan bowlers. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Captain Dasun Shanaka came to the ball in the 9th over and created more trouble for India. As Shanaka caught and bowled Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Nitish Rana.

Dasun Shanka did an awesome dive on his left side to complete a mind-blowing one-handed catch. After Nitish Rana’s wicket, the top 5 batsmen of India were sitting in the dugout.

India had a horror show with the bat in the 3rd T20I against Sri Lanka

Shikhar Dhawan led side finally won the toss and decided to bat first. The decision was good considering the batting depth and absence of first-choice batsmen in the team. Notably, India only had batting till number 5. The top five batsmen of India consisted of Shikhar Dhawan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devdutt Paddikal, Sanju Samson, and Nitish Rana.

Notably, the two of the most experienced batsmen; Shikhar Dhawan and Sanju Samson contributed nothing for India. As the two top batsmen got out on duck. Also, the youngsters Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devdutt Paddikal only scored 14 and 9 runs respectively. Meanwhile, Nitish Rana got out after scoring 6 off 15 deliveries.

Before 5 overs India’s top 4 batsmen were sent back to the pavilion by the Sri Lanka bowling unit. Indian vice-captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar scored 16 crucial runs at a strike rate of 50. Also, The number two ranked T20I bowler in ICC rankings Wanindu Hasaranga ran through the Indian batting unit by picking huge wickets.
