The marquee T20 World Cup is just a few months away. The top teams in the world will be fighting to win the T20 World Cup trophy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The number one ranked T20I team; Eoin Morgan led England will enter the tournament as favorites to win the trophy.
Eoin Morgan led England is placed in Group 1 of Super 12. Also, group 1 has been named as a group of death by many cricket fans. As it contains teams like England, West Indies, Australia, and South Africa. Meanwhile, England will be kickstarting their campaign with a match against West Indies. Notably, England faced a defeat at the hands of the West Indies in the final of the T20 World Cup 2016.

Also, International Cricket Council has released the dates of the tournament which will be starting from 17 October in UAE. In an ICC statement, Eoin Morgan opined that T20 World Cup 2021 will be a very competitive tournament. He asserted::
“The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is going to be brilliant. The standard of T20 cricket around the world is improving exponentially and every nation has a chance of becoming World champions. It should be one of the closest and most competitive world tournaments to date and we can’t wait to get started.”

“I think we have that momentum going nicely for us”: Eoin Morgan
England is filled with T20 specialists in the team, from top to bottom Eoin Morgan led side has everything figured out for the T20 World Cup 2021 event. However, Jofra Archer will miss out on the tournament due to an injury. Also, there is a question mark over the availability of Ben Stokes.
Meanwhile, Eoin Morgan believes that every team entering into the marquee event has match winners. Morgan stated:
“I think in T20 Cricket because the game can change quite quickly, there’s a huge pool of talented teams within our group like every game is important to us. All of the teams have match-winners.”
While talking about the biggest strength of England Morgan named it as the team’s consistent performance over the years. The England captain elaborated:
“I think our biggest strength is the consistency with which we have performed, probably over the last two years. It has taken us number 2 in the world. I think we have that momentum going nicely for us,” Morgan added.
