Celebrated Indian pacer Mohammed Shami was in full swing as he ran down Lucknow Super Giants batting with a fiery spell in their IPL 2022 opener on Monday. Shami earned applauds from all sectors including American adult film star Kendra Lust.
Shami breathed fire with the new ball, picking up big wickets of KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock and Manish Pandey. He dismissed Lucknow captain Rahul for a golden duck before leaving other two clueless with perfect ‘Test match lengths’.
The veteran pacer was lauded by one and all. American star Kendra Lust also extended her greetings to Mohammed Shami, which grabbed the attention of the fans. Many were left surprised seeing the American greeting Shami on his performance in the match.

Despite Mohammed Shami’s brilliance with the ball, Lucknow managed to post a 150+ target, thanks to half-centuries from Deepak Hooda and debutant Ayush Badoni.
But Gujarat chased down the total in time after Rahul Tewatia and Abhinav Monohar broke free in the final overs to take their team home with two ball to spare.
“I looked to bowl a Test match line and length here” – Mohammed Shami
The India international was awarded the player of the match effort for his figures of 3 for 25 in 4 overs. Reflecting on his own performance, the Mohammed Shami said that his aim was to bowl a Test match line and not give much room to the batters.
Speaking at the end of the game, Shami said:
“I was warmed up well. It was important to get a good start in the first match, I looked to bowl a Test match line and length here. When the ball comes out of your hand like that … (smiles). I have worked very hard on this seam position. People say it is god-gifted, but that’s not the case.”
