Chasing the target of 245 runs to win, Kabul Zawanan needed a brilliant start and Afghanistan left-handed batsman Hazratullah Zazai did the job for the team. He smashed six sixes in an over during an Afghanistan Premier League match played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Playing for Kabul Zawanan, Zazai took on the left-handed spinner of Abdullah Mazari in the 4th over smashing him all over the ground. Zazai smashed six sixes and hit 37 runs including a wide.
Zazai was at his best during yesterday night match. It was an amazing batting performance by the left-handed batsman who made his half-century off just 12 balls. Zazai got out for 62 off 17 balls with a strike rate of 364.71. Despite his superb innings, Kabul Zawanan fell short of the target by 21 runs. Kabul Zawanan made 223 for 7 in 20 overs.
The joint fastest half-century in T20 cricket
Zazai became the joint fastest half-century in T20 cricket. Yuvraj Singh scored the fastest half-century in T20 cricket against England at T20 World Cup held in 2007 of 12 balls. Also West Indies hard-hitting batsman Chris Gayle also scored half-century off 12 balls for Melbourne Renegades against Adelaide Strikers on 18th January 2016.

Zazai also joined the list of players who have smashed six sixes in an over. The other players to smash six sixes in different formats are Ravi Shastri, Sir Garfield Sobers, Herschelle Gibbs, Yuvraj Singh, Alex Hales, Ravindra Jadeja and Misbah-ul- Haq.
