Wasim Jaffer And Micheal Vaughan Engage In War Of Words On Twitter

Wasim Jaffer and Micheal Vaughan entertained everyone on Twitter during the first T20I between India and England. The two former cricketers went head to head against each other on Twitter and sarcastically took a dig at each other.

It all began when Micheal Vaughan after India’s disappointing batting display posted a rather unusual tweet. The former cricketer on Twitter wrote 5-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians is a better T20 side that the Indian cricket team. There’s no denying that MI is a quality T20 side but their comparison with the Indian team made very little sense.

Once Wasim Jaffer saw the tweet he replied to Vaughan in his witty style and it started the war of words between the two former cricketers. Jaffer reminded Vaughan that MI has the luxury of playing with 4 international cricket which India doesn’t in T20Is. This was a very basic yet fitting reply to Vaughan’s tweet who rated Mumbai Indians better than team India.

“Not all teams are lucky enough to play four overseas players Michael”, Jaffer tweeted.

After this Vaughan continued the fun banter and asked Jaffer, “Have you still not recovered from me getting you out at Lords !??”.

Back in 2002 part-time off-spinner, Micheal Vaughan against the play had dismissed a well-set Jaffer who was batting brilliantly on 53. Jaffer again responded to it and took Vaughan’s playful dig sportingly on Twitter.

“That’s just Life’s Amazing Memories Eh, Michael”. Tweeted Jaffer.

Meanwhile, this fun exchange between the two cricketers will continue throughout the T20I series. Coming back to things on the field, it was all England in the first T20I as they humbled India and won the match by 8 wickets. The two sides will lock horns in the second T20I again at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
