Virat Kohli for the third time in his T20I career scored a duck in the first T20I against England. There was pin-drop silence at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad after Kohli gifted his wicket to Adil Rashid without even opening his account.

It was a disappointing end as the Indian captain after a few dot balls went for the release shot but couldn’t execute it. After his dismissal, many trolled him on Twitter for getting out on yet another 0. The Indian captain had also got out for a duck in the final Test match against England.

After his second duck in succession, many took a sly dig at his failure but one sarcastic tweet that caught everyone’s attention was from the Uttarakhand Police. Surprisingly the official account of the Uttarakhand police advised everyone to wear a helmet while driving and added that those who don’t will also score a zero much like Kohli.

This was a bizarre tweet, to say the least as nobody expected Uttarakhand police to make fun of the Indian captain’s failure. The tweet also had mixed reactions as some found it funny and some found it unacceptable. Still, the tweet remained undeleted and it now has over 7.3k likes on the popular micro-blogging website.

Meanwhile, it was a disappointing day for the entire Indian team as they convincingly lost the first T20I against England. Batting first-team India was stunned early as the lost the wickets of KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. Eventually, on the back of brilliant batting by Shreyas Iyer, they managed to post a total of 125 runs. As expected it wasn’t enough as the visitors easily chased down the target and took a 1-0 lead in the 5 match series. England won the match with more than 4 overs to spare and humbled India in front of a capacity crowd at Ahmedabad.
