Team India fans were not happy after the toss took place in Ahmedabad as none of Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan were named in the playing XI for the 1st T20 against England. Earlier in a pre-match press conference, Virat Kohli had confirmed that KL Rahul would be Rohit Sharma’s opening partner for the first T20 but at the toss, Virat Kohli painted a completely different opening combination with Shikhar Dhawan opening with KL Rahul.

In the middle order, India went in with Shreyas Iyer in the middle order ahead of Suryakumar Yadav who was the favourite to make his T20 debut. Followed by which Ishan Kishan also missed out with Rishabh Pant donning the gloves. The series of shocking changes took social media by a storm with Team India fans lashing out at Virat Kohli for depriving Suryakumar Yadav of a T20 debut.

The fact that Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan play for Mumbai Indians, was played against Virat Kohli for not playing any player from the Mumbai Indians side.

Talking about the game. England won the toss and elected to field first at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad with India playing Shardul Thakur, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya as their pace bowling options while Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar being the spinners in the side.
