Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to progress through to the finals of IPL 2022. Meanwhile, what caught attention was when a Virat Kohli fan invaded the pitch just after the game started.

In the first over of the high voltage match, an interesting incident took place which caught the attention of cricket fans. After the first ball of the first over, a fan invaded the ground to meet Virat, who was at the striker’s end.

Earlier in the past, we have seen fans breaching security to meet Kohli. The fan entered the ground from the offside of Virat. He stood near Virat Kohli and held his hands out. He asked Kohli to shake the hand but apparently, Virat didn’t react to it.

In the end, the invader himself touched the hands of Virat before running away. The security guards entered the stadium and grabbed the invader near the 30 yards circle. At Eden gardens too, a fan invaded the ground to meet Virat. Kohli failed to create his impact in this game.

Here is the video of this incident:

Jos Buttler’s century propels RR to IPL 2022 final

After being invited to bat first, RCB didn’t get a good start. They lost the early wicket of Virat Kohli. The former RCB captain scored just seven runs before he was dismissed by Prasidh Krishna. Rajat Patidar once again scored a brilliant fifty.

However, RCB was restricted to 157 runs riding on the brilliant efforts of Prasidh and Obed McCoy. Both shared six wickets each to bounce back after the defeat against Gujarat in Qualifier 1.

In reply, it was all Jos Buttler, who registered his fourth IPL century of the season. The RR openers added 61 in no time and the game continued to slip away. Sanju Samson also made telling contributions. Buttler finished the proceedings with a six with 11 balls to spare.
