Team India pacer Deepak Chahar has been in good nick in the ongoing ODI series against Zimbabwe so far. He provided India a flying start in the third ODI on Monday, August 22 at the Harare Sports Club. The all-rounder was also involved in an exciting incident in the match when he almost to ran out of Innocent Kaia in his follow-through.

The incident took place in the second innings when Deepak Chahar ran in to bowl the first delivery of Zimbabwe’s chase. As he was in his stride, Innocent Kaia who was at the non-striker’s end strolled forward. Deepak was quick to notice that Kaia was out of his crease, and casually whipped off the bails. However, he did not appeal and let Innocent Kaia off with a warning.

As per the new rules, a bowler can run out the non-strikers, when they leave the crease, without the ball being released. It used to allow the non-strikers an added advantage in the game, however, the rule has made it legal to run them out. In the third ODI, Deepak Chahar gave Innocent Kaia a warning instead of running him out.
