[WATCH]: Rashid Khan Reacts After Hitting The Winning Runs For GT

In a thrilling showdown in Jaipur, the Gujarat Titans (GT) halted the Rajasthan Royals (RR)’s unbeaten streak in a gripping final-ball finish. Initially trailing, GT orchestrated a stunning comeback in the final five overs, chasing down 73 runs off just 30 balls. The spotlight fell on Rashid Khan, GT’s bowling all-rounder, as he emerged as the match-winner, delivering a powerful blow with a boundary off the last ball to clinch victory.

Rashid Khan’s post-victory gesture towards his team’s dugout quickly went viral on social media platforms, capturing the hearts of cricket enthusiasts worldwide. “You just have to be positive,” Rashid reflected on his mindset. “The more positive you are thinking inside, the better the result comes out.” RR’s skipper, Sanju Samson, conceded the defeat was a bitter pill to swallow, finding it challenging to articulate his thoughts in the aftermath of the intense contest.

Nevertheless, he extended praise to GT for their exemplary performance across all facets of the game. “You have to give credit to the Gujarat Titans, to the way they batted, bowled and fielded,” Samson acknowledged, acknowledging the victors’ prowess.

Despite facing early setbacks with the quick dismissals of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler, RR found solace in the resilient batting display of Riyan Parag. Parag’s valiant effort yielded a crucial 74 runs off just 34 balls, marking his third half-century in five innings.

However, his departure, caught by Vijay Shankar, stemmed RR’s momentum. Samson, ably supported by Shimron Hetmyer’s unbeaten 13 runs, guided RR to a competitive total of 196-3. In the pursuit of the target, GT encountered stiff resistance from RR’s Kuldeep Sen, who wreaked havoc with figures of 3-41.

Nevertheless, GT’s captain, Shubman Gill, rose to the occasion, anchoring the innings with a vital 72 runs before succumbing to a stumping. Rahul Tewatia’s cameo of 22 runs injected further momentum into GT’s chase, setting the stage for Rashid’s nerve-wracking 24 runs in the final overs, ultimately propelling GT to a sensational victory.
