On Saturday, Star India Batter Shikhar Dhawan took to Instagram to post a heartwarming video of him meeting his son, Zoravar, for the first time in two years. Zoravar lives in Australia with his mother Ayesha, and the cricketer was unable to meet him due to COVID-19 rules and regulations.
“Two long years since I met my son Uske saath khelna, usko gale lagaana, baatein karna.. bohot emotional moments hain ye.. These are the moments jo humesha yaad rahenge.”, Dhawan wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.

Shikhar and Ayesha divorced in 2021 after 9 years of marriage. On September 6, Ayesha had announced her split with Shikhar on Instagram. For the unversed, Shikhar and Ayesha had met online and fell in love, thanks to Facebook.
Shikhar Dhawan- Punjab Kings’ skipper?
Shikhar Dhawan was signed by Punjab Kings for Rs 8.25 crore in the IPL 2022 mega-auctions and is the frontrunner to lead the franchise. Dhawan has the experience of leading Sunrisers Hyderabad in 10 games and can do a great job for the Punjab Franchise. He had also led Team India in the the limited-overs tour to Sri Lanka in 2021.
Dhawan has been one of the most consistent performers in the cash-rich league. During the 2020 season, he made history by becoming the first batter in IPL history to hit two consecutive centuries. Overall, Dhawan is the second-highest run scorer in IPL, with 5784 runs in 192 matches. Only RCB’s Virat Kohli is ahead of him with 6283 runs.
With the kind of fitness level Shikhar Dhawan has at the age of 36, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he plays in the Indian Premier League for another 5 years.
