WI vs IND: [WATCH] Team India Players Meet Brian Lara Ahead Of Second Test Against West Indies

Team India players including skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli met and interacted with legendary cricketer Brian Lara ahead of the second Test match against West Indies in Trinidad. Lara is one of the greatest batters to have ever played the game. He was roped in as a performance mentor for the West Indies team.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video on social media from Team India’s training session. In the video, the Indian players can be seen with West Indies performance mentor Brian Lara. Virat Kohli exchanged a few words with the legendary batter. Meanwhile, the likes of Rohit Sharma, Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja also shook hands with Lara.

Sharing the video on social media, the BCCI wrote, “When in Trinidad, you do not miss catching up with the legendary Brian Lara”

It’s an honour to be leading Team India in this game: Rohit Sharma

After a convincing win in the first Test, Team India will take on West Indies in the final match from Thursday, July 19 in Trinidad. They will be playing a historic 100th Test against West Indies. Heading into the match, Rohit described it as an honour to lead the Indian team in such a game. He added that he expects an exciting contest between the two sides.

“It’s an honour to be taking the Indian team into this game and it doesn’t happen every day. The two teams have so much history, and so much good cricket played. I will expect no difference in this Test. I am sure they (Windies) will bounce back and it will be exciting for both teams,” said Rohit Sharma.
