Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh bats for Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav’s inclusion in the Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The global tournament will take place in Australia later this year.
Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal were vital members of the Indian limited-overs squad. However, due to their poor form, the duo was dropped from the squad. In the ongoing IPL 2022 season, both Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have put forward a strong case for themselves ahead of the World Cup.
During the launch event of Dream Set Go, former Indian cricketer, Harbhajan Singh expressed that ‘Kulcha’ should be part of the Indian T20 World Cup squad. He added, that the duo should not have been dropped in the first place. Harbhajan said,
“I don’t know why they (selectors) broke that partnership which was doing well for India. I certainly believe that you have to bring ‘Kulcha’ back, Kuldeep and Yuzvendra, I think they have been brilliant for team India.”
“When they played together, they took wickets in the middle overs, whether it was T20s, ODIs, or any format, they played together, they were very successful,” Harbhajan added.

It will be great to see ‘Kulcha’ bowling in Australia
Yuzvendra Chahal is the leading wicket-taker in the Indian Premier League 2022 season so far. He has picked 19 wickets in ten matches so far, at an average of 15.31. Just behind him on the second spot is Kuldeep Yadav with 18 wickets. He averages 17.16 in ten matches.
‘Kulcha’ has played an important role in their team’s campaign in the tournament so far. Harbhajan Singh feels that the spinners will do well in Australia during the ICC T20 World Cup where the grounds are big. He added, that both Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have a wicket-taking mentality.
“It will be great to see them bowling in Australia, where the grounds are big and they both are quality bowlers. Their mentality is always to take wickets,” Harbhajan Singh said.
