Match 10 of IPL Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bangalore gave the season its second Super Over finish in what a great game of cricket. RCB prevailed, at last, winning the match, while Mumbai Indians suffered their second loss of the season, their first-ever in a Super Over contest.

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians game saw highest ever tied game in the history of IPL. Both teams finished on 201 before Virat Kohli & Co won the match in Super Over. The tournament has already produced a couple of nail-biting encounters and has the potential to provide more.

That the pitch was a good one for batting can be made out from the fact that, the match saw a total of five fifty-plus scores. Aaron Finch (52), Devdutt Padikkal (54), AB De Villiers (55), Ishan Kishan (99) and Kieron Pollard (60*) dictated the terms in the game by hitting respective fifties.

It proved enough for Royal Challengers Bangalore to seal the tie against Mumbai Indians.

The match saw a total of 402 runs scored with almost all the bowlers except Washington Sundar going for plenty. As many as seven bowlers conceded runs at an economy at 10 or more.

In a match where over 400 runs were scored and many of the bowlers went for more than 10 to 12 runs per over, Washington Sundar had a feel day.

He bowled a spell of 1 for 12, taking the key wicket of the opposite skipper in the MI vs RCB contest. He followed the opposition batsmen and bowled in a channel where the batsmen couldn’t free their hands.

4) Ishan Kishan’s Falling One Short of Maiden IPL Ton

The young Jharkhand batsman, Ishan Kishan replaced Saurabh Tiwary and played one of the best knocks of the season. he threatened to take the MI vs RCB contest away from the opposition with his flawless innings. He was hitting everything sweetly and looked good to take his team home.

However, as things turned out, he fell one short of his maiden IPL ton as the match ended in a tie. Kishan also did not come out to bat in the Super Over for Mumbai. At the end of the game, this was one of the biggest talking points in the game.

After playing two nail-biting encounters last season, both the teams resumed their rivalry in a nail-biting contest. This was another Mi vs RCB classic with Banglore just edging Mumbai to a win. This was RCB’s 10th win over their opponents.

However, Mumbai still leads the head to headcount 18-10. Both teams play their next match in Abu Dhabi on October 28.
