The Royal Challengers Bangalore are off to a good start in IPL 2020. The Virat Kohli led side has so far won 2 from 3 matches this season. Every season fans of the popular franchise hope that they finally get the monkey off their back and win IPL.

This season the start of RCB has been promising and many believe that this just might be their year. Now former India batsman and chairman of selectors Dilip Vengsarkar holds that RCB has a real chance to win IPL in the UAE.

RCB Front Runners To Win IPL This Year – Dilip Vengsarkar

Vegsarkar thinks that the trio of Kohli, de Villiers and Chahal make RCB front runners to lift their maiden IPL trophy in UAE. The former cricketer is also impressed with Navdeep Saini who’s super over brilliance helped RCB win against Mumbai Indians.

Dilip Vengsarkar stated, “In this T20 format, it is very difficult to say who the front runners will be. But I would say Bangalore are winning it this time, because they haven’t won it so far. Kohli, AB de Villiers and Yuzvendra Chahal will come good”.

“ They have a lot of good players in the squad. Pacer Navdeep Saini bowled extremely well in their first game against SunRisers Hyderabad. So, I will be interested to see their progress in the tournament,” Dilip Vengsarkar, 64, told IANS in an exclusive interview.

“Well, the RCB could be the favourites one of the favourites, but I can’t stick out my neck and say that X, Y or Z will win. But they could be one of the favourites”, he further added.

Meanwhile, skipper Kohli before the season also admitted that RCB this season has a well-balanced squad. Since 2016, RCB’s performances in the IPL has been highly disappointing.

As a result, the franchise completely switched the coaching staff and gave the command to Simon Katich and Mike Hesson. Furthermore, RCB will now play their next match against Rajasthan Royals in the first-day match of IPL 2020.
