Sharjah has been selected to host the Women’s T20 Challenge matches by the BCCI. Many of the participating players have already reached the UAE and are under the quarantine period. The three teams namely, Surenovas, Traiblazers and Velocity will bring about a galaxy of women cricketing superstars from all over the world. Meanwhile, BCCI has also announced, the playoffs schedule and the women’s games will be played in between the playoff days.
The IPL 2020 Playoff dates are 5, 6, 8 and 10th November. While the BCCI has announced 4, 5, 7 and 9 as the dates for the games. Both the IPL 2020 Playoffs and Women’s T20 Challenge games will be played from 7.30 pm IST. Only the second match of the women’s game will be played from 3.30 PM. The final of WTC will be played on November 9 followed by the IPL 2020 final on November 10, Tuesday. This is the first time ever that an IPL final will be played on a weekday. Meanwhile, Meghna Singh as Mansi Joshi’s replacement, who had tested COVID positive earlier this month.
