Former India captain MS Dhoni was spotted at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground alongside his wife, Sakshi Dhoni, and family friend Kriti Sanon to watch India’s crucial third ODI against England.

Dhoni witnessed another high-profile contest between the two sides, although India’s pace attack struggled to make early inroads as England’s batters made a strong start.

MS Dhoni Spotted in the Stands During India vs England ODI

MS Dhoni has been in London and was first spotted on his birthday, July 7, during India’s T20I against England. The former India captain was once again present to watch the third ODI at Lord’s, where it would have been frustrating to see the Indian bowlers struggle against England’s opening pair.

Ben Duckett and Jacob Bethell came out with aggressive intent from the outset, putting the Jasprit Bumrah-less Indian pace attack under pressure with a fluent opening stand.

Jasprit Bumrah missed the third ODI after suffering a knee injury during the previous match in Cardiff. Young fast bowler Prince Yadav, who made his India debut against Ireland earlier this month, was drafted into the playing XI for the Lord’s clash.

India opted for a pace-heavy attack, fielding four seamers—Prince Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, and Gurnoor Brar—alongside Axar Patel as the lone specialist spinner.

MS Dhoni’s presence in the stands has added to the significance of the Lord’s ODI, with widespread speculation suggesting it could be Rohit Sharma’s final appearance for the Indian team. Over the past few days, social media has been filled with reports linking the series decider to the veteran opener’s potential retirement.

Despite the speculation, Team India has repeatedly maintained that there is no added pressure on Rohit ahead of the match. Even so, fans and the wider cricketing community remain closely focused on the contest at Lord’s. Rohit has been included in the playing XI and is set to open the batting alongside captain Shubman Gill.

However, supporters will have to wait to see him in action after England captain Harry Brook won the toss and elected to bat first.
