Punjab Kings opener Shikhar Dhawan is in good form in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season. He has been one of the top performers for the franchises in the tournament. Recently, Dhawa was seen in the gym session along with the co-owner of the franchise, Preity Zinta.

The left-handed Indian batter posted a video on his Instagram profile of him sweating it out in the gym. The video also features Preity Zinta who recently joined the Punjab Kings bio-bubble in Mumbai. In the video, the duo is seen doing kettlebell swings and weighted squats.

The video was also shared by the official social media handle of the Punjab Kings franchise. They captioned it the video as, “Need inspiration to hit the gym? We got you covered! ”

Shikhar Dhawan was signed by the Punjab Kings for Rs 8.25 crore in the mega auctions. So far, he is the leading run-getter for the franchise, scoring 381 runs in eleven matches. He averages 42.33 and has a strike rate of 122.11 with three fifties in the tournament.

Punjab Kings eye sixth win of IPL 2022

The Punjab Kings haven’t had a great Indian Premier League 2022 season so far. They are eighth on the points table with ten points from eleven matches and an NRR of -0.231.

Despite several players, such as the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Shikhar Dhawan, and Liam Livingstone, doing well for the team, Punjab Kings have not been consistent in the tournament so far. The Mayank Agarwal-led franchise has lost three out of its last five matches. They have three more matches left in the league stages of IPL 2022.

Punjab Kings will be taking on the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday, May 13 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. With the tournament heading towards the business end, Punjab needs to win all its remaining matches to stay alive in the competition.
