Australian speedster Pat Cummins is all geared up for the series against India after a mediocre season with KKR in IPL 2020. He wants to pick up the big wicket of Virat Kohli. Cummins will get six chances of dismissing the batsmen before he returns home after the first Test in Adelaide. Thus the bowler will try to make the most of it when he gets his chance to bowl at him. The series starts with the ODIs with the first of them on November 27.

Talking to Fox Cricket Cummins spoke about taking big wickets from opposition teams and in this case Virat Kohli.

“I think every side has that one or two batters and they are the big wickets. Most teams have their captain – Joe Root for England, Kane Williamson for New Zealand. You feel like if you get their wickets that goes a long way in winning the game. He (Kohli) is always a big one. You, commentators, talk about him non-stop, so hopefully, we can keep him quiet” Cummins told Fox Cricket.

Pat Cummins further spoke on their preparations ahead of the start of the series in a week’s time. Meanwhile, back in 2018, India won the three-match ODI series 2-1 on Australian soil. They won the test series 2-1 before losing the T20I series. Australia will be eager to exact revenge for the defeat two years ago with Cummins confident that his team can do it.

“It’s going to be huge. Obviously, we’re back here on home soil. Other than spending a lot of times in hotels and bubbles I feel like our preparation has actually been really good,” Cummins added.

Pat Cummins became the highest-paid overseas cricket in the IPL history with KKR buying him for 15.5 crores ahead of the season. Cummins struggled in the first half of the season picking just a couple of scalps from the first seven games. He ended the season with 12 wickets finding his mojo.
